Season's Greetings and looking back at 2025
(22-12-2025) As we wrap up 2025, we proudly look back on all that this year has brought us. It was filled with successful research projects, doctoral milestones, new publications, fresh colleagues, engaging courses and improved infrastructure.
Public showcase of our Planvar planning game
(18-12-2025) We introduced our planning game for production environments with large variability to a broader audience. We did this through a workshop we hosted at Flanders Make Kortrijk.
ISyE's December seminar

Students IEOR Visit Movu Robotics

(27-10-2025) We are delighted to announce that our researcher Jorge Iván Rodríguez Echeverría has succesfully publicly defended his PhD on "Crowdsourced Data-Driven Methods for Assessing Transport and Mobility Behaviour" on 23-10-2025 at Ghent University.
Opening of KUBES
(24-10-2025) Ghent University has opened a new central building on its UGent Campus Kortrijk site. The facility is named KUBES, short for Kortrijk University Building for Engineering Studies.

Open oproep aan kunstzinnige ingenieurs (NL)
(10-07-2025) Zoals te zien was in de 'FEA Newsletter' van juli dit jaar bestaat AIG volgend jaar 150 jaar. AIG is de alumnivereniging van de ingenieurs afgestudeerd aan de universiteit te Gent. In het kader van dit heugelijk jaar, is er een open oproep om samen een expo op te stellen.

Manufacturing of the Future: Inspiration Event 2025

PhD defense Arno Claeys
(20-06-2025) We're thrilled to share that our researcher Arno Claeys has officially earned his doctoral degree after presenting and defending his dissertation, titled "Context-Aware Instructions for Assembly Operators" last Tuesday 17-06-2025 at Ghent University’s Campus Kortrijk.
Goodbye Dr. Jaakko Peltokorpi
(20-06-2025) After about three months of working with us at ISyE Kortrijk, we said goodbye to the Finnish visiting engineering scientist Dr. Jaakko Peltokorpi. We are thankful for the shared opportunities with Aalto University. We had a small farewell party before he starts his travels back.
Nerdland Festival 2025

(23-05-2025) For our OperatorAssist and Infra HEAL ProoVit experiments we are in search of volunteering operators. Assist us by participating to validate the results of the projects. All you need is your neurons firing signals for cognitive and motoric responses. No prior knowledge needed!
Master Students MPA Exoskeleton Workshop
