Ir. Olivier Rysman is a lecturer in Industrial Design with expertise in computational design (CAD/CAM), CAD and surface modelling, 3D scanning and reverse engineering, and virtual reality. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering in Industrial Design from PIH Kortrijk (1997) and an MSc in Engineering Product Design from BME/Wolverhampton University (1999).
He has extensive industrial experience, having worked as a Post Sales Application Engineer at Alias Wavefront (now Autodesk) from 1999 to 2001. He then served as Digital Mockup Manager at Bombardier Transportation Bruges, where he worked on projects such as the MML/Dubbeldek M7 from 2001 to 2004.
Currently, he is a lecturer in the Industrial Engineering Industrial Design programme, where he teaches courses including Design Tools I, Engineering Project, Design Tools II, Graphic Design Communication, Advanced CAD, and Design, Styling, and CAID.
