Quinten van de Korput is a PhD researcher at the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Product Design. He holds an MSc in Computer Science Engineering, with a master’s thesis focused on analyzing intracity student mobility in Ghent using limited and aggregated data.
During his studies, he completed the Innovation for Society excellence program, where he co-developed a tool to evaluate buildings for potential conversion into detention facilities. In this project, he collaborated closely with students from diverse academic backgrounds.
His current research interests lie at the intersection of computer science, mobility, and urban planning. He is particularly interested in how data-driven approaches can support urban decision-making. With a broad curiosity spanning urban systems and mobility, he aims to contribute to sustainable and efficient urban environments through innovative, interdisciplinary solutions.
