ISyE's February Lunch Seminar

(02-03-2026) In februari, we hosted another inspiring edition of our ISyE Lunch Seminar, where our junior researchers take the stage to present their work to the group.

These sessions are a great way to exchange ideas, sharpen research narratives, and connect different methodological perspectives within Industrial Engineering & Operations Research.

This edition featured:
🔹 Sahar Anvariazar – “Two-Echelon Cyclic Inventory Routing Problem”
Sahar presented her work on advanced optimization models for multi-level distribution systems, addressing the complex interaction between routing and inventory decisions in cyclic planning environments. A strong contribution to integrated supply chain decision-making.

🔹 Quinten van de Korput – “Introducing spatio-temporal methods for mobility estimation”
Quinten introduced innovative spatio-temporal modeling techniques to better estimate and understand mobility patterns — highly relevant for data-driven planning and policy support.

It’s always rewarding to see our PhD researchers pushing methodological boundaries - from stochastic optimization to data-driven modeling - while addressing real-world industrial and societal challenges. Proud of the depth and diversity of research within our group!
