"Knappe Koppen" at Campus Kortrijk
(13-01-2026) Every year in January, the engineering programmes at UGent Campus Kortrijk organise, under the name “Knappe Koppen”, engaging workshops on various STEM themes that tie in with lessons of the third grade of secondary education.
Last week, the final-year students TWE and ICW from Prizma Izegem visited our campus for the workshop “Will you program the new virtual factory?”
During a short introduction, they became acquainted through a number of exercises with a PLC control (Siemens), the beating heart of every automated process. Afterwards, the students got to work automating their own virtual production line!
