PhD defense Andrea Mencaroni
(25-08-2025) We are delighted to announce that our researcher Andrea Mencaroni has succesfully publicly defended his PhD on "Shaping the Factory of the Future: Towards Zero-Waste, Net-Zero Manufacturing with Hybrid Assembly and Carbon-Aware Scheduling” on 19-06-2025 at Ghent University.
Congratulations to Dr. Andrea Mencaroni for succesfully defending his doctorate on “Shaping the Factory of the Future: Towards Zero-Waste, Net-Zero Manufacturing with Hybrid Assembly and Carbon-Aware Scheduling” at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.
The jury consisted of the supervisors Prof. Dr. Dieter Claeys and Prof. Dr. Ir. Birger Raa, and the examination board members Em. Prof. Dr. Ir. Ronny Verhoeven, Prof. Dr. Ivo Adan, Prof. Dr. El-Houssaine Aghezzaf, Prof. Dr. Johannes Cottyn, Dr. Ir. Derek Verleye and Prof. Dr. Joris Walraevens.
The defense and ceremony were followed by a hearty reception provided by Osko.
We are also thrilled that Andrea will continue working with us as a postdoctoral researcher!
