Nerdland Festival 2025
(11-06-2025) During the weekend of June 6 to June 9, Nerdland Festival 2025 took place. Of course our department was present at this marvelous edition. We had quite a popular stand catching attention. Even besides that, Ghent University had many different stands at the festival. Check it out!
We inspired both the general public and the engineers of the future last weekend at Nerdland's annual Nerdland Festival 2025.

🔸 Taste and craft with seaweed with Louka Noyen
🔹 Jorn Ockerman on wargames | Christophe Scholliers on programming languages
🔹 Patricia Clement on the female brain
🔹 Koen Deserranno on DNA-based medication
🔸 Super mosquitoes, science and legislation with Emma & Fien Van Reempts | Bene Amery on the failures science needs to talk about
🔸Julie Goetghebuer on protecting society from AI, while embracing innovation | Witness the creation of a Bose-Einstein condensate live
🔸Philippe Smet on the physics of space travel | Lore De Greve on literature as a tool for peace | Eline Lievens on why muscle fibers matter more than you think
