We are still finalising the full programme, but we can already say that this edition will be very special.

FlandersMake@UGent - ISyE contribution to the symposium

Find us at the Flanders Make symposium on the 13th of November with our contribution of "Make RCA faster by combining pFMEA's expert knowledge with data collected from the factory floor". Our experts Angel Lopez, Prof. Sidharta Gautama and Ken Vanherpen will share insights into how these data-driven methods can enhance root cause analysis.

At our stand, we'll have an interactive touchscreen demo. You'll see how our technology guides a user from a product failure to its most probable root cause, and even suggests the most effective mitigation actions. This is a great opportunity to see how we're making manufacturing smarter and more efficient.

Check out the abstract on our topic

Enhanced root cause analysis combining factory floor data and pFMEA insights.

Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (pFMEA) is a cornerstone of quality control, but it's often a static, qualitative document. It doesn't use real-time data, making root cause analysis a slow, trial-and-error process when unexpected failures occur.

Our technology bridges the gap between static knowledge and dynamic factory operations. By integrating pFMEA insights with live and historical production data through Knowledge Graphs and Bayesian networks, it turns pFMEA into a dynamic, intelligent troubleshooting tool. It provides a probabilistic ranking of likely failure causes based on what's actually happening on the factory floor.

Would you use such a technology in your factory?
