Operational analysis of a vehicle OEM

In this thesis we analyzed the workstations of a OEM manufacturer of (non-automotive) vehicles. The large size of the product made assembly operations rather cumbersome. Also the continuous improvement organization was not delivering results fast enought for the limited run length of the product. The thesis resulted in several detailed studies of improvements, both in work methods, equipment and monitoring techniques. The student was hired by the company upon graduation.
